BIOGRAPHY

Tim Howard brings a wealth of experience from his highly successful career as a Singer/Actor, Music Director/Director/Arranger, and Writer.  ).  In the last twenty years, Tim has worked extensively in nearly every medium of the business.  From Actor/Singer in Broadway Revivals directed by Harold Prince, to Directing/Music Directing the 20th Anniversary production of HAIR, in which he collaborated with the writers of the musical, Tim has been critically acclaimed for his work

 

Trained originally in classical voice @ Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory, and New England Conservatory, he has coached a long list of Broadway clients in principal roles and recordings.  Depending on the student’s needs, he can expertly coach an audition, or develop a healthy vocal technique to meet the demands and styles Music Theatre now require.  His excellent piano skills further allow his clients to focus on the preparation of their audition.  Tim was selected in 2004 as one of the New York’s top Vocal Coaches in the Published, VOICE TEACHERS AND COACHES OF NEW YORK:  THE ONE AND ONLY GUIDE.  In addition to his private studio, Tim has also taught on the vocal faculty at Marymount Manhattan College since 2003, and now is Assistant Professor/Program Coordinator of the BFA Music Theatre Program @ University of Wisconsin−Stevens Point.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tim Howard has been on the Voice Faculty at Marymount Manhattan College for 5 years.  His duties have consisted of teaching private voice to 15-20 students per semester, preparing his students for principal work in the main stage musicals as well as vocal juries, and senior showcase. In addition, Tim was selected to be part of the recruitment process at Marymount for the last 4 years, with the duty of adjudicating new students on their songs and monologues as part of the audition process to be accepted into the Music Theatre program.
